George C. Thomas (1873-1932), who wrote Golf Architecture in America in 1927, one of the greatest books on the subject. His trademark fingery sand bunkers, split fairways and sloped greens are prominent at his best works: Los Angeles C.C., Riviera and Bel-Air, all in California.

The Architects Golf Club was created to pay tribute to great designers' in the world of golf. Golf course architect Stephen Kay and Golf Digest Historian Ron Whitten handpicked the premier architects for the period between 1885 and 1955, seventy years of great design styles. Our history lesson begins with Old Tom Morris, who designed such treasures as Carnoustie and Muirfield in Scotland and the New Course and Jubilee at St. Andrews. The second hole reflects C.B. MacDonald, the founding father of American golf course architecture, who laid out America's first 18-holes of golf, The Chicago Golf Club in 1895 and later created the masterpiece known as National Golf Links of America on Long Island, New York. The Architects Golf Club is a 6863-yard par 71 gem, featuring holes patterned after other great names including Walter Travis, A.W. Tillinghast, Bill Flynn and Donald Ross to mention a few. The final chapter was reserved for Robert Trent Jones, commonly regarded as the most influential architect in the history of golf. The Architects Golf Club will challenge players of all skill levels and provide a look into the history of the game.

Conveniently located off of Interstate 78 in the plush meadows of Western New Jersey, this scenic 18-hole course strides boldly through acres of rolling terrain offering majestic views throughout. Broad landing areas and generous tees impart to the course a strong visual character; green sizes range from 4,500 to 11,000 square feet and are made of top quality bent grass. Each distinctively different hole offers a variety of beautifully manicured tees, allowing golfers to select the course most suitable to their skill level, from just over 5,000 yards to nearly 7,000 yards. A visually challenging, but eminently pleasing golf course, there is something at The Architects Golf Club to excite every golfer. All players, whether members or not, will enjoy one of the premier golf courses in the region.

The clubhouse at The Architects will provide a full service Golf Shop with the latest technology. The Pub-Grille will offer a selection of draft beers, varietal wines and spirits to enjoy either indoors or on terrace seating overlooking the golf course, take in the scenic views of the Warren County countryside. Also adding to the golf experience are expansive practice facilities, including a state of the art driving range with bent grass teeing area, target greens from 50 to 300 yards, a large putting green, and an area for chipping and bunker practice.
